Below are the details of the upcoming seminar.

Date: 31 October 2009
Time: 0800 - 1730hrs
Venue: Changi Beach
Attire: Full Scout Uniform with NATIONAL scarf (Headgear Included)

Assembly Point: Connector bridge from Changi Beach to Changi Village

Items to bring: Stationery, Water Bottle, Poncho

Attire and Discipline:
Should your scouts attend the course in an attire than otherwise stated, they will be asked to return home to obtain the appropriate attire and to return for the remainder of the seminar.

Transportation and Food:
Scouts are to make their own transport arrangements to the seminar location. Lunch will not be provided during the seminar. Hence, do advise your scouts to bring enough money for their lunch. All scouts are encouraged to keep all personal valuables at home and to bring minimal belongings as they will be required to move around Changi Beach for the seminar.

Attendance:
All participants are required to attend both the Seminar & Residential Camp to officially be awarded with the certificate of completion of PLTC 09. However should your scouts be unable to attend any part of the course, the Course Director & Camp Chief will need to be informed with documentation of the reason, details of their absence and they will be considered on case-by-case basis if he/she is allowed to continue with the course. A written Letter of Absence (LOA) is required from the Group Scout Leader to be submitted to the Course Director within 3 days after the seminar. (The decision made by the Course Director on the case(s) with advice from the District Commissioner will be final and the organising committee will not entertain any forms of appeal.) Should your scouts be unwell, they will be required to submit a photocopy of their Medical Certificate on the 1st day of the residential camp.Arrangement shall be made with the leaders and scouts for the seminar(s) that the participant has been excuse should they be unable to attend the seminar with early notification and valid excuse.Please do take note that there will be no refund of the course fee should the participant be absent/incompletion of course without a valid reason.

2) Indemnity Form
All indemnity forms are to be submitted to the PLTC 09 Administrator on the morning of the seminar.

I’m pleased to announce the following Scouts will be promoted to a higher appointment and take office to the 7th Patrol Leaders Council (2009/2010). This will take effect from 21 November 2009.

These are part of continuing leadership and testing out of Scouts for broader responsibilities.

1. Peh Tik Lam, will relinquish his duties as Patrol Leader of Tiger and will be promoted as the 7th Troop Leader for the Scout Troop.
